Kerosene Jet Fuel
CTL kerosene is one of the primary fuel products that can be produce from a Klean a coal gasification plant using a modified Fischer-Tropsch process. There are over 50 million barrels of kerosene used as jet fuel produced per month in the United States alone. The United States Air Force has a mandate by the year 2016 to buy 50% of their jet fuel consumption which is approximately 400 million gallons of GTL jet fuel domestically which can not be met under the current conditions which provide a massive opportunity.
The US Senate Bill S. 155 known as the Coal-to-Liquid Fuel promotion Act of 2007 allows for an income tax credit on the investment in CTL projects, along with numerous capital grants and an authorization for the Department of Defense to enter long-term contracts via the Defense Logistics Agency for CTL fuels up to 25-years. Domestic US airlines are also keenly interested in buying CTL jet fuel as a hedge against future price increases due to higher oil costs.
