Design-stage consulting

At design stage the questions are specific. Does the proposed reactor class suit the measured feedstock properties? Is the gas-cleaning train sized for the contaminant load the coal will actually present, across its full variability? Are the handling and feeding systems matched to the material, and does the heat integration scheme stand up when examined as a whole? Consulting at this point is about interrogating assumptions while changing them is still cheap.

Commissioning and start-up consulting

Commissioning is where design assumptions meet equipment. Klean Coal's consulting covers the planning and sequencing of that phase: the order in which systems are brought up, the hold points that must be respected, the instrumentation that has to be proven before first feed, and the criteria that define a successful performance run. Projects that improvise this phase lose months; projects that plan it tend not to.

Independent and evidence-based

Klean Coal is not tied to a single gasifier licensor, so advice is not a route to a vendor sale. Recommendations rest on measured feedstock data, on documented operating experience, and on a clear distinction between what a technology has demonstrated commercially and what it has only been claimed to do. Where the evidence does not support a proposal, the report says so.
