What to expect

An honest assessment. Klean Coal is not tied to a gasifier licensor, so recommendations are engineering conclusions rather than routes to a vendor sale. If a proposed configuration will not work on the coal available, the report will say so — which is considerably cheaper to hear during a study than during start-up.

Typical first engagements

Most relationships start small. A technology due diligence review ahead of an investment decision, a design review on an engineering package already in hand, a commissioning readiness assessment before start-up, or an operations assessment on a plant that is missing its availability target. Each is a bounded piece of work with a defined deliverable.

Working internationally

Coal gasification projects are developed wherever coal is available and local demand exists for power, fuels or chemicals. Klean Coal and the wider Klean Industries group work with clients across those markets, and assignments are structured around the project rather than around a location.
